Pilgrimages and Buddhist Tours

As a part of a holistic approach towards spiritual development, Damrivi organizes pilgrimages to Dambadiva (India) and to historical places of worship within Sri Lanka. These pilgrimages are intended to provide a more meaningful spiritual experience contributing not only towards developing saddha (devotion) but also panna (wisdom). The pilgrimages follow the standard itinerary of Buddhist historical places of worship. What is unique about the pilgrimages organized by Damrivi is the time and space given to meditation and dhamma discussions whilst engaging in vandana and poojas. Evaluating the pilgrimages that Damrivi has already conducted, there was consensus amongst the majority of participants who had visited the same places of worship before, that the earlier visits they had undertaken were more as tourists in contrast to the meaningful activities that focused especially on nurturing "panna" that the pilgrims were engaged in during this visit.
